We independently tested our Level III rifle-rated rigid armor plates following NIJ protocol 0101.06. we were made with a multi-curve profile to offer an armor system that fits comfortably and ergonomically and is meant to be worn against your body all day. 

It was tested at muzzle velocities corresponding to the rated ammunition this armor system will defeat, as indicated in the "threat profile" table below. The Level III Armor is designed to be a robust, stand-alone armor system using the finest quality 90 layers of ballistic materials, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), bonded with a 6mm SiC (ceramic) chip. This armor's standard 10X12" size allows it to fit inside most plate carriers available on the market.

Minimalist Level III Defense

It goes without saying that in hostile encounters, quickness, agility, and endurance are essential. They weigh only 2.6 lbs for each plate, compared to numerous level III ceramic body armor plates that weigh roughly 6 or 7 lbs each. The plate gives the user a noticeable weight advantage, and the 7.62mm FMJ lead core rifle ammo is easily destroyed upon impact by the boron carbide strike face. The lightweight UHMWPE backer captures the remaining bullet fragments, shielding the operator from penetration or additional spall injuries. The level III ceramic body armor plate is an excellent option for anyone seeking advanced threat protection and safety, including law enforcement, security contractors, the military, first responders, and even concerned citizens.
